‘CURRENT ISSUES IN MODERN LINGUISTICS AND FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING IN THE SECURITY AND DEFENCE SECTOR.’
The conference will take place on 30 April 2026 in a virtual format.
Working languages of the conference: Ukrainian, English, German, French, Eastern languages, Eastern European languages.
Participation in the conference: free of charge.
MAIN AREAS OF FOCUS FOR THE CONFERENCE SESSIONS:
- general issues in translation and translation studies;
- linguistic and cultural studies as a component of foreign language competence development;
- intercultural communication;
- conceptual ideas in domestic and foreign philology;
- media linguistics in an information and communication society under conditions of military aggression;
- foreign language training for specialists in the security and defence sector;
- foreign languages to support the functioning of the security and defence sector;
- foreign languages in the modern cyberspace.
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONFERENCE AND PUBLICATION OF ABSTRACTS
To participate in the event, please send the following to the organising committee’s email address krgmconf2026@gmail.com by 15 April 2026 (inclusive):
- a completed registration form;
- presentation abstracts.
When sending your email, ensure the subject line states: Conference_2026.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FORMATTING OF MATERIALS
- abstracts are accepted in electronic form (MS Word 97-2003 format, ***.doc extension);
- abstracts should be between 2 and 5 pages in length, page size – A4 (297×210 mm), portrait orientation;
- margins: top, bottom, and left – 20 mm, right – 15 mm;
- font: Times New Roman, size – 14, line spacing – 1.5; paragraph indentation – 1.25 cm;
- references, if applicable, must follow DSTU 8302:2015. Place them at the end of the text under the heading ‘References:’. Cite in the text using square brackets with the source’s serial number and page number, e.g., [5, pp. 22–25]. Do not include sources from the aggressor country.
- in the materials, you must specify the form of participation: co-authorship or academic supervision.
- the file name must match the participant’s first and last name. For example: Section ___ Ivanenko_Ivan_abstracts.doc or Ivanenko_Ivan_questionnaire.doc.
Note to participants:
We kindly ask that all submitted materials remain unchanged. The content, accuracy, and correctness of the information are the responsibility of the author(s) and the academic supervisor.
The abstracts must contain only publicly available information.
To support academic integrity, we will be checking materials for plagiarism in accordance with Articles 1 and 5 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity’ and Article 50 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Copyright and Related Rights’.
The Organising Committee may decline materials that have not passed the plagiarism check, do not meet the outlined requirements or the conference scope, or are received after 15 April 2026.
After the conference, each participant will receive a complimentary electronic copy of the proceedings, the conference programme, and a certificate. The abstracts and programme are sent to authors EXCLUSIVELY for personal use and are not to be published online for general access. There is no professional registration for the proceedings.
