INTERNATIONAL HOUSE KYIV INVITES ENGLISH TEACHERS TO THE ANNUAL CHARITY TEACHER TRAINING DAY 2026!

This is a wonderful opportunity for the entire teaching community to come together, share experiences, and support the country. A packed day awaits us: 13 practical sessions in two parallel rooms, focusing on the real-life challenges we face in the classroom.

EVENT PROGRAMME:

  • Inclusion & Learner Care: Boelo van der Pool will share approaches to working with neurodiverse learners and teachers, when everyone in a group perceives the material differently.
  • Classroom Practice: Kris Kirby will demonstrate how acting and role-play techniques help even the shyest students to speak up, whilst Christopher Walker will present his simple system for explaining grammar without confusion over tense names.
  • AI & Technology: Together with Raven Adams, we’ll explore where artificial intelligence genuinely saves us time, and where it poses risks to data security and copyright.
  • Specialist Teaching: We’ll touch on the nuances of teaching Military English to NATO standards and analyze the differences between working with children and adults.
  • Growth & Wellbeing: We’ll discuss how to adapt a ‘legacy’ course and how to structure the academic year so you can make it to May with your resources intact and without burning out.
