MARIANA SHEVCHENKO has been working as an English lecturer at the Faculty of Linguistics of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” since 2011 after graduating from the same faculty. She has a Master of Arts degree with Honours and the qualification of an interpreter and translator of English and German languages, having successfully defended her Master’s thesis “Reproduction of lexical and grammatical features of the English information in abstracts on inventions in a target language”.
She is a practising interpreter and translator. At the same time, she conducts scientific research and introduces various authentic multimedia aids into the educational process of students of technical specialities at the university. The results of the study in the form of scientific articles are published annually in journals included in international databases, such as Scopus and Web of Science.
The lecturer regularly attends professional development courses, trainings, seminars, webinars, and conferences, both in Ukraine and abroad.
