Another ranking of the world’s universities according to Webometrics was published this July. It examines the academic performance of more than 31,000 universities and is updated every six months.
Evaluation is carried out according to three indicators:
- VISIBILITY — the number of external sources that contain backlinks to the institution’s web pages. Calculated according to Ahrefs and Majestic tools — 50%.
- TRANSPARENCY — the number of citations by leading authors of the institution according to Google Scholar Citations — 10%.
- EXCELLENCE — the number of articles by university researchers that are among the 10% most cited in 27 disciplines according to Scimago calculations — 40%.
- In this rating, National Technical University of Ukraine“Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”traditionally maintains a leading position among Ukrainian universities.
