On 26 November 2024, the Department of Technical English No. 1 of the Faculty of Linguistics of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted the IV International Scientific and Practical Online Conference ‘Corpora and Discourse’. The event brought together more than 100 participants from around the world, including postgraduate students, young researchers, academics and teachers. At the opening of the conference, the Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics, Professor Zoya Korneva, delivered a welcoming speech. Professors Artur Gudmanian, Olena Moskalenko, Roksolana Povorozniuk, Associate Professors Olha Pavlenko, Tetiana Semyhinivska, Svitlana Moiseenko, Tetiana Anoshkova and others joined the professional discussion. The conference was traditionally moderated by Associate Professor Yulia OLIZKO. A wide range of scientific and practical achievements in the use of corpus technologies, computer linguistics, translation studies and foreign language teaching methods were discussed. Among the speakers were researchers from Uppsala University, the Catholic University of Salta in Argentina, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the National University of Ukraine ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’.
