We are excited to share an amazing opportunity for early-career scholars and doctoral researchers across Europe: the EERA NW01 – Professional Learning and Development is inviting applications for the NW01 Spring School 2026, which will take place at The West University of Timisoara, Romania, from 21–23 April 2026.

The NW01: Professional Learning and Development network of the European Educational Research Association (EERA) invites applications from emerging researchers (doctoral candidates, post-doctoral researchers, and early career scholars) to participate in the NW01 Spring School 2026. The Spring School will focus on the challenges and opportunities of academic writing and research in an era of AI, with a particular emphasis on Professional Learning and Development in European education.
EERA will cover part of the travel expenses for selected emerging researchers. Please note that places are limited to 25 participants.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants are asked to submit the following documents in a single PDF file:

  • Short academic CV (maximum 2 pages).
  • One-page statement of thematic interest: an argument linking your doctoral/post-doctoral research to the theme of the Spring School (Academic Writing and Research in an Era of AI) and to NW01’s focus on Professional Learning and Development.
  • Commitment statement (maximum 300 words) to produce either an individual or collaborative EERA Blog post following the Spring School.
