Every year, on April 28, the World Labour p Day is celebrated.
The department of AMTS No. 1 also joined the celebration of Labour Protection Day in 2024 at National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
The International Labour Organization dedicates this day to a relevant theme.
This year it is under the slogan: “We ensure safe and healthy work right now in the conditions of climate change.”
Changes in weather and climate conditions significantly affect working conditions and duration, increasing occupational risks for workers. Heat stress, air pollution, UV radiation and other extreme weather events are becoming more frequent, increasing the risk of occupational diseases and accidents.
The International Labour Organization is planning a global event with experts and representatives from government, employers and workers to discuss ways to protect workers to meet this global challenge.
On this day, additional attention should be paid to the fact that ensuring safe and healthy work in the face of climate change is an important task that requires joint efforts.
