FULBRIGHT PROGRAMME IN UKRAINE • INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION
ANNUAL COMPETITIONS FOR SCIENTISTS, TEACHERS, SENIOR STUDENTS, AND GRADUATES IN THE HUMANITIES, SOCIAL SCIENCES, EXACT SCIENCES, ENGINEERING, AND NATURAL SCIENCES.

FULBRIGHT PROGRAM IN UKRAINE 2025 Sponsored by the US government and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE), the Fulbright Program occupies a prominent position in the international education system. Based on interaction and mutual understanding, grounded in knowledge and respect for the diverse world, it has been successfully operating since 1946. It is currently active in more than 160 countries worldwide.
Since its inception in Ukraine in 1992, almost 1,200 Ukrainians have studied, completed internships, and conducted research in the US; approximately 800 Americans have taught in Ukrainian higher education institutions and engaged in scientific research. 

Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program: Conducting research in US universities, research centres, libraries, museums, archives, etc., for three to nine months. Candidates and doctors of science; cultural and artistic figures; librarians and museum professionals; journalists and public figures; researchers without a scientific degree — with a complete higher education (specialist, master’s), experience of working for at least ten years, significant professional achievements, and scientific work in the chosen field of research (articles, monographs or chapters in monographs) in domestic and/or international professional scientific publications.

The deadline for applications is 15 October 2025.

Fulbright Research and Development Programme: Conducting research at US universities for six to nine months. The competition is open to individuals up to 45 years of age with two years of professional experience: teachers; postgraduate students and researchers who do not yet have a degree; candidates of science; administrators of higher education institutions; employees of research institutions; journalists; specialists in library, museum and archival affairs; specialists in the field of cultural management; employees of non-governmental organisations.

The deadline for applications is 1 November 2025.

Fulbright Graduate Student Programme: Study at American universities for one to two years to obtain a master’s degree. Senior students and graduates of higher education institutions are eligible to apply. Applicants must have at least a bachelor’s degree at the time of the scholarship award.

The deadline for applications is 16 May 2026.

Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant: Internship teaching Ukrainian (assisting American teachers) at universities/colleges in the United States. The competition is open to novice teachers and young professionals specialising in linguistics, Ukrainian literature, translation studies, communications, journalism, American studies, and English language teaching. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree at the time of scholarship award.

The deadline for applications is 6 July 2026.
