Professional activity

In 1986 she graduated from Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, Faculty of English language and got the qualification of English and French language teacher.

Larysa Lomakina works at the Faculty of Linguistics, at the Department of English language for Specific Purposes №1. She is a scientific secretary of the department.

Larysa Lomakina has been working as an English language teacher at the Faculty of Electronics since 1996. She delivers courses of English as a foreign Language, English for Specific Purposes to undergraduates and masters. Teacher prepares students for writing scientific papers in English and helps them to make presentations at international conferences.

Larysa Lomakina  is the author of more than 25 scientific papers and 5  Students’ Manuals for the 3d and 4th-year students of  Electronics Department, among them: “The 4th-year Students’ Manuals for speaking and reading skills development of technical English ”/L.V. Lomakina, Y.A. Romanenko – 60pp.; “The 4th-year Students’ Manual for reading skills development of scientific English” /L.V. Lomakina, V.V. Novikova, N.M. Gordienko – 60pp.; “English-Russian-Ukrainian Terminological Dictionary in Electronics”/N.E. Doronkina, L.V. Lomakina and others – 92pp.

Lomakina Larysa takes an active part in scientific Ukrainian and International conferences and seminars; the last is the International Theoretical and Practical Conference “Modern Approaches and Innovations in Teaching Foreign Languages”.
